Summer Break

Classes will resume in the Fall.

Which Activities Should I Attend?

Everyone is welcome to attend any of our events, however the following guidelines may be of help.

Level 1 (L1) activities are appropriate for the newcomer, who has had little or no experience with meditation or Buddhism.

Level 2 (L2) indicates that the activity would work well for anyone who has a basic knowledge of Buddhism and some meditation experience.

Level 3 (L3) activities are designed for more experienced practitioners, who have a solid understanding of Buddhist principles and meditate regularly.

No indicator means that the activity is appropriate for anyone, regardless of experience.

If you’re still not sure please drop us a line.

Where Do I Sign Up?

Introduction to Buddhist Meditation (L1)

Mondays, April 21 - May 19, 2008, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Meditation is the systematic development of higher states of awareness and a deeper experience of kindness and compassion. It is a means of developing positive states of mind such as clarity confidence and happiness.

In this five-week course we will be concerned primarily with two simple and time-proven meditation techniques. One method is concerned with the development of a tranquil and concentrated mind, while the other allows us to cultivate feelings of friendliness and goodwill towards ourselves, and other living beings. This course is intended for those with little or no experience of meditation but also works well for more experienced meditators.

There is a suggested donation of $70 for the course, although all are welcome, regardless of ability to pay. You may pay for the class in advance by using the donate button below.

Level Two Classes

Classes to be Announced

These short but informative classes are ideal for people who want to learn more about basic Buddhist teachings, yet don’t want to commit to a longer course of study. Participants should have some previous knowledge of Buddhism and meditation. These sessions are perfect for those who have completed one of our centers introductory classes.
